Since 1982, SANYO FINE CO., LTD. has been developing and supplying numerous functional materials utilizing its original biochemical and organic synthetic tecnologies often via close collaboration for mainly the pharmaceutical and food industry.

SANYO FINE joined the group of OSAKA SODA CO., LTD. in December, 2008. Afterwards, the Fine Chemicals Division of OSAKA SODA was merged with SANYO FINE in July, 2009 so that the pharmaceutical business units of both of them were unified. In addition, FOOD & BIO RESEARCH CENTER INC., was merged with SANYO FINE in December, 2010, which leads to strengthening the biotechnology on genetical modification and sugar chain.
